Questions, answered
What is seasonal color analysis?
A system that sorts people into one of twelve color 'seasons' based on three traits of their natural coloring: undertone (warm or cool), depth (light or deep), and chroma (clear or muted). Your season tells you which colors make your skin look even and your eyes look brighter, and which ones make you look tired.
How does Vienne find my season from one photo?
Vienne reads your undertone from the skin at your jaw and neck, your depth from the overall darkness of your hair, eyes, and skin together, and your chroma from how clear or muted your hair and eyes are. It then drapes your cutout in your worst season and your best one, so you can see the difference instead of taking our word for it.
Is the free analysis actually free?
Yes. The reveal, your season, the reasoning, twelve starter colors, and a share card cost nothing and need no account. The full 60-color palette with neutrals, metals, makeup, and hair guidance is a one-time $19 unlock.
What kind of photo works best?
Daylight, facing a window, no filter, no heavy makeup, hair off your face, plain top. Phone camera is fine. Overhead bulbs and filters shift your undertone and lower the confidence of the result, and Vienne will tell you when that happens.
How accurate is it?
It is a styling opinion from a vision model, not a measurement, and it tells you its own confidence. In good daylight it agrees with in-person analysts most of the time. In bad light it will say so and ask for a retake rather than guess confidently.
Does Vienne store my photo?
Your photo and its cutout are kept so your result link keeps working. Nothing is posted anywhere. Email hello@vienne.ai with your result link to delete it.
What is virtual draping?
In-person color analysis drapes colored fabric under your chin to watch your face react. Vienne does the same digitally: it removes your background and places you on your best and worst colors so you can slide between them.
Can I use this for makeup and hair color?
The paid palette includes lip, blush, and shadow directions, the hair colors that flatter your season, and the ones to avoid.
